It was a Saturday night in either '80 or '81 and this masterpiece ran in place of Saturday Night Live. There was an introduction by Father Guido Sarducci that got cut in this version.

Kappa had a similar reputation at Miami, although in reality it was not quite to the point of our brothers at LSU. Much like the fraternity in Animal House, we were done in by the university administration's double secret probation. I worked hard to get the fraternity back in the university's good graces, and was told by the head of the IFC that we were off probation, but when they chose to get rid of us, I never got the status in writing, so we were gone.
ReplyDeleteWe used Kappa to initiate the Omicron reactivation in '73. By the second start in '80, you were off campus again and we had to use Lambda. I spent a number of great times working with the Kappa alumni as we funded and built the new house. Many of my best friends in DKE are or were Kappa Dekes. When the new house was new, Susan and I would come in and there was an overwhelming lemon aroma - The boys really kept that wood floor polished! Every time that chapter took a road trip, I would await the news of missing objects from around the country. I think the worst was when the Centre College Seal went missing!
